About the Artist
Lambert Lucietto's art education started
before the age of six with a chalkboard and frequent visits to the Art Institute
of
Chicago. After two summer
scholarships to the school of the Art Institute, he was hooked into a life-long
pursuit.
Although an MBA led him to a career in manufacturing, he
pursued his avocation in art with study of sculptural techniques, art movements
and masters' works through the ages.
Since his retirement in 2000, he has been in independent
study in art at Elgin Community College. Although bronze produces a permanent
piece, clay is the medium of choice in that all begins with the shaping and
refining of original concepts. He has studied the art of current and past
masters and applied this knowledge to his portrait and relief pieces. He
uses a refined, feature-fired technique for his mosaics, wherein each clay piece
is shaped before firing. Years of
manufacturing experience informs his metal work.
Lambert’s continuing passion for art is evidenced by the
productive stream of work from his studio in Bartlett, Illinois.
